MY WORLD

 

The Earth is the name of our planet. The Earth is a blue planet that moves around the Sun.
It is a sphere.
Most of the Earth is covered by water. 

Only some of the planet is land. 

The Earth is surrounded by the atmosphere.

Most plants and animals live in land, like us.

1.The Earth rotates.

 

 It takes 24 hours or one day for the Earth to complete one rotation. 
It is day on the side of the Earth where the Sun is shining. Days are warm and full of light.

It is night on the side on the Earth where the Sun is not shining. Nights are cool and dark.

                                 

2. The Earth revolves around the Sun. The path that the Earth takes around the Sun is its orbit.The Earth takes 365 days and 6 hours, or a year, to complete its orbit.
